Sara is a native of the greater Philadelphia area, currently serving the Annapolis, Maryland and surrounding areas, as well as the greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley regions and surrounding areas.

​An alumna of Ithaca College, Sara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. In 2020,, she completed her professional industry certification to be a Certified Wedding and Event Planner (CWEP) from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. 

Sara began her special event planning career as an Event Coordinator for Pensacola Habitat for Humanity in Pensacola, Florida. Throughout the course of her career, she not only planned small social events, but also large-scale community festivals and fundraisers. 

When Sara is not planning weddings and events, she loves to create floral arrangements, spend time with her family, and cook up new recipes. She thrives in community, creativity, and connection.

"It's always been a dream of mine to help couples plan their perfect day, and after earning my certification, I have the foundation to pursue my passion in planning weddings and special events. There is so much more to weddings than the dress and rings, and I love to help couples reclaim their sanity during the wedding planning process! As a CWEP, I am lucky to have such an invaluable wealth of knowledge and resources that I can share with couples. Through SaraYoung Weddings and Events, we offer our expertise and guidance for couples not quite ready to commit to a full-time wedding planner. We like to create dream weddings inspired by couples' personalities and styles."
