Sara is a native of the greater Philadelphia area, currently serving the Annapolis, Maryland and surrounding areas, as well as the greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley regions and surrounding areas.

​An alumna of Ithaca College, Sara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. Recently, in 2020, she completed her professional industry certification to be a Certified Wedding and Event Planner (CWEP) from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. 

Sara began her special event planning career as an Event Coordinator for Pensacola Habitat for Humanity in Pensacola, Florida. Throughout the course of her career, she not only planned small social events, but also large-scale community festivals and fundraisers. 

When Sara is not planning weddings and events, she loves to create floral arrangements, spend time with her family, and cook up new recipes. She is also a floral designer.

"It's always been a dream of mine to help couples plan their perfect day, and after earning my certification, I have the foundation to pursue my passion in planning weddings and special events. Since planning my own wedding nearly two years ago, I realized there is so much more to weddings than the dress and rings, and I love to help couples navigate the wedding planning process! As a CWEP, I am lucky to have such an invaluable wealth of knowledge that will help me take care of a couple's fine details throughout the wedding planning process. Through SaraYoung Weddings and Events, couples have the option to book two services through one vendor: planning/coordination and floral design. We create dream weddings enhanced with a cohesive floral design that's inspired by couples' personalities and styles."
